Catechumen Class

St Nicholas Church Catechumen Class

This class is open to those who are in the process of entering into the Orthodox faith and want to become a member of the Orthodox Church or for those who are newly illumined and have been newly received into the Church.

Our text will be “The Orthodox Way” by Met. Kallistos Ware. We’ve chosen Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm to do the class by zoom. The class began on August 27, 2024. Subsequent classes: 9/10, 9/24, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 11/26, 12/3,& 12/17. Then we’ll take a break over the holidays and resume in January. The class will go from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

This book and the Orthodox faith is very much about the path in love we are taking in Christ. It is about the study of the Holy Trinity and how everything that God does is from love and synergistic connection. Our greatest task as Orthodox Christians is to love God with all our heart and soul, our neighbors as ourselves, and to keep the faith. This is daunting task at times. To properly enter into Orthodoxy, support and guidance are needed and encouraged.
